Life doesn't move in straight lines. This work was born from the memories of people who have known hardship difficult relationships, grief, personal challenges and who came through them changed but not broken. There's a tension in the mark-making here: the push and pull of struggle and growth, of holding on and letting go, of the moment you realise the hard thing was also the thing that made you. There's a rainbow somewhere in all of it.
